Not a big story in a game in Cotton Tree where 9th ranked Sunshine CP (2-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Roar (4-2) 79-63 on Saturday. New Zealand guard Ashleigh Karaitiana (183-92, college: Hawaii) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and New Zealand center Karlene Kingi (186-85) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Amy Browne (178-90) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and guard Courtney Browne (177-91) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Roar moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Sunshine CP dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Roar will face Mountaineers (#12) in Toowoomba in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sunshine CP will play on the road against Rip City in Sippy Downs and hope to win that game.
