Plateros recorded a loss in Zacatecas. Visitors were defeated by Mineros 91-81. Mineros outrebounded Plateros 39-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. American center Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas, agency: Best of You Sports) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Dawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (180-91) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and Italian forward Alexis Elsener (196-88, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mineros will play against Dorados in Chihuahua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Plateros will play at home against Lenadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
