Very expected game when 10th ranked Thunder (1-5) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked Brisbane Capitals (6-1) 116-105 on Saturday. Brisbane Capitals dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Thunder's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Forward Jarred Bairstow (201-92, college: UCO) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) chipped in 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Chris Cedar (188-88) with 29 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Atem Bior (201, college: UTSA) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Thunder's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Brisbane Capitals maintains second place in League with 6-1 record having just thirteen point less than leader BA CoE. Loser Thunder dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Brisbane Capitals will face Rollers (#10) in Gold Coast in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Thunder will play on the road against Seahawks in Runaway Bay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
