Regular Season Round 2: Panteras - Soles 95-92

A very close game took place in Aguascalientes between Panteras and Soles. Panteras got a very close home victory over Soles. Panteras managed to escape with a 3-point win 95-92 on Saturday evening. Panteras made 34-of-42 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game, while Soles only scored fifteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Soles 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Fabian Jaimes (198-92) supported him with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Panteras' coach Manuel Cintron used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists by American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) did not help to save the game for Soles. International guard Victor Alvarez-Diez (180-96, agency: Pro Sports) added 20 points for the guests. Panteras will meet at home Aaguacateros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soles will play against Libertadores in Queretaro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
