Very expected game in Runcorn where 11th ranked Pirates (1-8) were defeated by seventh ranked Wizards (4-3) 82-69 on Saturday. Wizards forced 19 Pirates turnovers. Swingman Courtney Woods (183, college: NIU) fired 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Stephanie Reid (168-96, college: Buffalo) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Wizards' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Bree Farley (178-90, college: Fresno St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and center Amanda Beatson (193-81) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
