An interesting game for Valencia which hosted in Valencia Gernika. Valencia managed to get a 12-point victory 64-52. Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (186-97) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International center Laura Gil (190-92) chipped in 13 points. Four Valencia players scored in double figures. American swingman Angie Bjorklund (183-89, college: Tennessee) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Brazilian center Nadia Colhado (193-89) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gernika's coach Mario Lopez let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Valencia's next round opponent will be Gran Canaria in Las Palmas which should be an easy win for them. Gernika will play at home against Socinsa Bembibre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
