Regular Season Round 2: Yamanashi QB - Aishin AW 75-62

The biggest surprise of round 2 in WJBL took place in Yamanashi where host Yamanashi QB beat Aishin AW 75-62 on Sunday evening. Yamanashi QB forced 21 Aishin AW turnovers. Strangely Aishin AW outrebounded Yamanashi QB 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Aimi Wakahara (171-96) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. International Kiho Miyashita (178-98) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Misa Uchimaga (168-96) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aishin AW will play next round against Toyota B SR trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Yamanashi QB will try to continue on its current victory against Denso Iris in Kariya.
