Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Keflavik forced 33 KR turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Venezuelan Daniela Wallen (180-95, college: Okla City) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Anna Svansdottir (172-1) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Jon Gudmundsson felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Finnish forward Annika Holopainen (185-93, college: ODU, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) produced a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and guard Thora Ingvarsdottir (-1) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Keflavik will meet Skallagrimur in the next round. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Reykjavik to the arena Valur.
