Leader Aaguacateros delivered the sixth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Abejas (1-6) 107-101 in Michoacan. Aaguacateros shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Rodney Green (183-88, college: La Salle) who led the winners and scored 20 points. His fellow American import guard Avry Holmes (185-94, college: Clemson) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Aaguacateros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Terrell Carter-II (208-95, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian guard Guido Mariani (193-94) added 22 points and 6 assists respectively for Abejas in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Aaguacateros maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Mineros. Abejas at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost. Aaguacateros' next round opponent will be again Abejas (#6) in Guanajuato which should be theoretically an easy game.
