But Rybnik was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Czestochowa 73-59 on Saturday night. AZS PCz forced 21 Rybnik turnovers. Rybnik was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Adrian Placzek (182-85) chipped in 18 points. At the losing side forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Tomasz Czajkowski (203-82) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PCz will face Tarn.Gory in Tarnowskie Gory in the next round. Rybnik will play on the road against AZS AGH KR in Krakow and hope to win that game.
