Regular Season Round 8: Plateros - Fuerza Regia 77-83

Fuerza Regia's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Fresnillo, where they defeated Plateros (3-5) 83-77. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Plateros' 16. The best player for the winners was Argentinian guard Nicolas Romano (200-87) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Ole Miss) chipped in 16 points. Five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Italian forward Alexis Elsener (196-88, agency: Interperformances) produced 18 points and Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (180-91) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Fuerza Regia (1-5) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. Plateros at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Fuerza Regia's next round opponent will be league's leader Mineros in Zacatecas and it may be quite challenging game. Plateros will play on the road against Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
