Very important is a road loss of Alkar against Split on Sunday night. Visiting Alkar was defeated by Split in Split 84-71. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) notched 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and international guard Toni Perkovic (191-98) supported him with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Split players scored in double figures. Split's coach Ivica Skelin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Hasan Varence (198, college: Ohio Dominican, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Alkar. Swingman Lovro Mandalinic (195-96) added 16 points for the guests. Split will play against KK Vrijednosnice Osijek on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
