There was no surprise in Warszawa where 14th ranked Spojnia Stargard (1-5) was defeated by third ranked Legia (5-1) 77-73. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) notched 22 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Justin Bibbins (178-96, college: Utah) supported him with 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Five Legia players scored in double figures. Legia's coach Wojciech Kaminski allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by the former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Spojnia Stargard. American point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Legia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with King. Spojnia Stargard lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with five games lost. Legia's next round opponent will be Anwil (#10) in Wloclawek and are hoping to win another game. Spojnia Stargard will play at home against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
