The game in Sopot was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked BM Slam Stal (3-3) played at the court of eighth ranked Trefl (4-2). Trefl defeated BM Slam Stal 82-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BM Slam Stal. Trefl dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BM Slam Stal's 32. Trefl forced 19 BM Slam Stal turnovers and outrebounded them 38-22 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international center Dominik Olejniczak (213-96, college: FSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. International swingman Karol Gruszecki (193-89, college: UT Arlington) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Trefl players scored in double figures. Croatian center Josip Sobin (203-89, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 11 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer) added 15 points in the effort for BM Slam Stal. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trefl moved-up to sixth place. BM Slam Stal at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with GTK Gliwice. Trefl will play against higher ranked Start (#4) in Lublin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BM Slam Stal will play at home against Slask (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
