Regular Season Round 2: Borisfen - RGUOR 105-44

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of RGUOR in Mogilev on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Borisfen 105-44. The game without a history. Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RGUOR to just 7 points in third quarter. Borisfen dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to RGUOR's 32 and had 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while RGUOR only scored six points from the stripe. Borisfen forced 29 RGUOR turnovers and outrebounded them 56-24 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by RGUOR's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Borisfen made 10 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by RGUOR helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Uladzislau Mikulski (196-98) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Ilya Sharipov (198-91) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Borisfen players scored in double figures. Borisfen's coach Andrei Krivonos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Daniil Kosko (189-4) replied with 9 points and forward Ivan Balduev (195-4) added 8 points in the effort for RGUOR. Borisfen is looking forward to face SDUSHOR in Minsk in the next round where they are favorite. RGUOR will have a break next round.
