Tochigi B. used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Okinawa 73-61 on Saturday night. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi B. will face again Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
