Regular Season Round 2: Polonia Bytom - Bielsko-Biala 101-77

Not a big story in a game when Bielsko-Biala was outplayed on the road by Polonia Bytom 101-77 on Saturday. Polonia Bytom outrebounded Bielsko-Biala 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Emil Podkowinski (194-88) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) produced 21 points and 7 assists and forward Robert Kozaczka (198-81) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Polonia Bytom will face AZS AWF Mick. in Katowice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bielsko-Biala will play at home against AZS PS Gliwice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
