An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Queretaro. First ranked Aaguacateros faced 4th ranked Libertadores. Guests from Michoacan (9-1) defeated host Libertadores (4-6) 96-81. They outrebounded Libertadores 43-25 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian forward Facundo Pinero (202-88) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) responded with 27 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Mike Best (208-93, college: UC Irvine) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aaguacateros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Loser Libertadores keep the fourth place with six games lost. Aaguacateros will meet Astros (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Libertadores will have a break next round.
