Regular Season Round 1: Torun - Poznan 64-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Torun at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Poznan 82-64. The game was mostly controlled by Poznan. Torun managed to win second period 24-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Torun's players. International swingman Julia Adamowicz (180-94) fired 25 points for the winners. American point guard Tiffany Brown (168-86, college: Georgia South) chipped in 15 points and 9 assists. American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the other American import center Breanna Lewis (196-94, college: Kansas St.) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Poznan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Torun will play on the road against Wroclaw and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
