Regular Season Round 4: Prievidza - Handlova 97-87

Prievidza can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Handlova (0-3) 97-87 on Wednesday. Prievidza looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin power forward Dragan Bjeletic (204-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and Matej Majercak (188-99) who added 30 points and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side Montenegrin point guard Goran Bulatovic (186-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and Serbian power forward Aleksandar Zecevic (208-96, college: FAU) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Handlova's coach Danilo Rakocevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Prievidza (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Inter Bratislava and Iskra Svit. It was Handlova's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Prievidza will meet Iskra Svit (#5) on the road in the next round. Handlova will play against Inter Bratislava and hopes to get finally their first victory.
