An interesting game for Aaguacateros (10-1) which played road game in Guadalajara against 3rd placed Astros (6-5). First ranked Aaguacateros had an easy win 90-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Astros. Aaguacateros made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Astros 39-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Aaguacateros players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Astros were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Rodney Green (183-88, college: La Salle) helped adding 16 points. Five Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. American-Puerto Rican guard Isaac Sosa-Carrion (191-90, college: Canisius) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Astros' coach Sergio Valdeolmillos rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Aaguacateros. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Astros at the other side keep the third position with five games lost. Aaguacateros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Astros will play again at home against the league's leader Aaguacateros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
