There was a small surprise when Toyota Alvark (3-1) beat Dragonflies (1-3) in Hiroshima 80-71 on Friday. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dragonflies. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
