Very predictable result in Starogard Gdanski where fourth ranked Wilki Morskie (6-2) defeated 15th ranked Polpharma (1-6) 88-80 on Friday. They outrebounded Polpharma 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Wilki Morskie looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-89, college: UIS, agency: Slash Sports) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Cleveland Melvin (203-91, college: DePaul) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: MTSU) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists and his fellow American import guard Trevon Allen (188, college: Idaho) added 25 points respectively for the hosts. Five Wilki Morskie and four Polpharma players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie moved-up to second place, which they share with Legia. Polpharma lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Wilki Morskie will meet BM Slam Stal (#8) in the next round where they are favorite.
