Regular Season Round 12: Soles - Panteras 77-86

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Soles (8-4) against fifth ranked Panteras (4-8) on Friday night. Host Soles were defeated by Panteras in a tough game in Mexicali 77-86. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Soles. Panteras made 17-of-17 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Strangely Soles outrebounded Panteras 42-28 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) who scored that evening 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Hameed Ali (188-93, college: TAMUCC) supported him with 18 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists by American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) did not help to save the game for Soles. American forward Shonn Miller (201-93, college: UConn) added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Panteras maintains fifth position with 4-8 record. Soles at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Lenadores. Panteras will play against league's leader Aaguacateros in Michoacan in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Soles will play at home against Libertadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
