Very expected game when Ponzano was crushed on the road by Udine 81-61 on Saturday. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The former international guard Antonia Peresson (175-95, college: Georgia Tech) scored 19 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Anna Turel (173-2) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Power forward Costanza Miccoli (181-95) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Francesca Leonardi (187-2) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Udine will face Crema on the road in the next round. Ponzano will play against Mantova and hope to win that game.
