Regular Season Round 3: Miedzychod - Tarnovia 107-82

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Tarnovia (1-2) was smashed on the road by Miedzychod (1-0) 107-82 on Saturday. Miedzychod forced 21 Tarnovia turnovers. Tarnovia was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Adam Chodkiewicz (198-90) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Filip Taisner (202-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Lukasz Kupczynski (190-99) added 13 points in the effort for Tarnovia. Five Miedzychod and four Tarnovia players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Miedzychod will face Stal Ostrow 2 (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
