Regular Season Round 6: Aishin AW - Denso Iris 43-79

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Denso Iris (4-1) crushed 5th ranked Aishin AW (1-4) in Anjo 79-43 on Saturday. They outrebounded Aishin AW 50-34 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international center Maki Takada (183-89) who led her team to a victory with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Akaho Himawari (184-98) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International Kiho Miyashita (178-98) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Hikari Nichiri (177-93) added 9 points in the effort for Aishin AW. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denso Iris have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in West with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Toyota A. Aishin AW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Denso Iris will have a break next round. Aishin AW will play again at home against the league's second-placed Denso Iris (#2) and hope to win that game.
