Regular Season Round 3: Chalons-Reims - Nanterre 74-83

Bottom-ranked Chalons-Reims (0-2) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-74 loss to ninth ranked JSF Nanterre (2-1) in Reims. The winners were led by American forward Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Ole Miss) supported him with 19 points. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists by Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka (192-99) did not help to save the game for Chalons-Reims. American guard Jalen Adams (190-95, college: UConn, agency: Wasserman) added 23 points for lost side. JSF Nanterre moved-up to sixth place. Chalons-Reims at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. JSF Nanterre's next round opponent will be SIG Strasbourg (#8) at home. Chalons-Reims will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#11) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
