Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Riga: BS Riga (#1) and Riga Centrs (#6). Riga Centrs were crushed at home by 29 points 69-98 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. BS Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BS Riga forced 27 Riga Centrs turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Markuss Rozentals (192-3) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Martins Avotins (185-3) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nikita Kuznecovs (200-3) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Rihards Mazans (182-2) added 13 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Riga Centrs. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BS Riga will play against Ogre (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
