There was no surprise in Queretaro where 6th ranked Abejas (2-11) were defeated by fourth ranked Libertadores (6-7) 75-69 on Saturday. American power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-88, college: Stillman) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) chipped in 19 points. DeVaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American JR Holder (198-94, college: Jacksonville) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Libertadores maintains fourth place with 6-7 record. Abejas lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Libertadores will face league's second-placed Soles in Mexicali in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Abejas will play at home against Astros (#3) and hope to win that game.
