Regular Season Round 4: BLMA - Hainaut 75-61

Gazelles' fans can celebrate the first win of their team.They used home court advantage to defeat Hainaut (0-2) 75-61 on Saturday. Gazelles looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (188-96, college: Louisville) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Diandra Tchatchouang (189-91, college: Maryland) supported her with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Gazelles' coach Thibaut Petit used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-90, college: UIC) did not help to save the game for Hainaut. Her fellow American import power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-88, college: FSU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) added 10 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Four Hainaut players scored in double figures. Gazelles (1-0) left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with Flammes and Roche. Loser Hainaut still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Nantes. Gazelles will meet Bourges (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hainaut will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and hopes to get finally their first victory.
