Regular Season Round 3: AZS PCz - Gliwice 2 80-65

AZS PCz used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Gliwice 80-65 on Sunday night. AZS PCz outrebounded Gliwice 2 52-37 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AZS PCz made 12 blocks. It was a good game for power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks. Guard Adrian Placzek (182-85) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Norbert Maciejak (180-2) answered with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Mikolaj Adamczak (204-2) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gliwice 2. Four Gliwice 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PCz will face AZS PS Gliwice (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gliwice 2 will play against AZS AGH KR in Krakow and hope to win that game.
