Rather expected game in Anjo where 5th ranked Aishin AW (1-5) was crushed by second ranked Denso Iris (5-1) 82-56 on Sunday. Denso Iris dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin AW's 24. They outrebounded Aishin AW 47-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for international center Akaho Himawari (184-98) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international center Maki Takada (183-89) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side international Kiho Miyashita (178-98) responded with 5 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Rui Kato (172-95) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Denso Iris. They maintain second place in West with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Toyota A. Aishin AW lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
