Regular Season Round 4: Nishinomiya S. - FE Nagoya 65-90

An interesting game was played in Hyogo where FE Nagoya (#2) crushed host Nishinomiya S. (#4) with 25-point difference 90-65 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. FE Nagoya shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 80.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kei Sugimoto (182-92) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Yutaka Yokoe (176-89) who added 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kento Matsuzaki (178-88) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FE Nagoya (3-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Nishinomiya S. keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. FE Nagoya will meet at home league's second-placed Rizing in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nishinomiya S. will play against Bambitious N. in Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
