Regular Season Round 4: Clarinos - Valencia 66-70

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Clarinos (2-1) in San Cristobal. Hosts were defeated by Valencia (4-0) 70-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Clarinos. It was a great shooting night for Valencia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Cristina Ouvina (173-90) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 steals and international center Laura Gil (190-92) who added 5 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville) responded with 22 points and her fellow American import guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-96, college: Temple) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Valencia have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avenida and Girona. Clarinos at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. They share the position with Araski. Valencia will play against Cadi La Seu (#7) in Seu D'urgell in the next round where they are favorite. Clarinos will play on the road against Socinsa Bembibre and hopes to get back on the winning track.
