The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Kvarner on the court of KK Dubrovnik on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by KK Dubrovnik 109-76. KK Dubrovnik dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Kvarner's 36. KK Dubrovnik forced 20 Kvarner turnovers and had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. KK Dubrovnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Kvarner's players. Power forward Ivan Vodopija (202-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Nikola Dosen (190-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five KK Dubrovnik players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and Vito Smojver scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Dubrovnik is looking forward to face Jazine in Zadar in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Kvarner will play at home against Cedevita Jr. and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
