Not a big story in a game when Brescia was defeated at home by Faenza 83-77 on Sunday. Faenza forced 28 Brescia turnovers. Brescia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Federica Franceschelli (176-97) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Licia Schwienbacher (172-95) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Faenza players scored in double figures. Guard Carlotta Zanardi (178-5) responded with 21 points and 7 assists and French Angelina Turmel (198-96, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Faenza will face Cagliari V at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brescia will play against San Salvatore and hope to win that game.
