Regular Season Round 3: Lublin - Arka Gdynia 56-83

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Lublin (0-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Arka Gdynia (3-0) 83-56. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Arka Gdynia outrebounded Lublin 43-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Lithuanian power forward Laura Miskiniene-Svaryte (190-92) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. Slovakian guard Barbora Balintova (178-94) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Arka Gdynia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Italian forward Martina Fassina (183-99) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Zuzanna Sklepowicz (173-96) scored 5 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arka Gdynia are looking forward to face Sosnowiec (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lublin will play against Gorzow Wlkp. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
