A very interesting game took place in Sodertalje. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Wetterbygden to Sodertalje 74-72 in the fight for the fourth place. Wetterbygden was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 24-19 third quarter run of Sodertalje. Strangely Wetterbygden outrebounded Sodertalje 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Shawnte' Goff (173-94, college: UTRGV) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Matilda Claesson (170-94) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Sodertalje players scored in double figures. American guard Keri Jewett-Giles (168-97, college: FGCU) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Evelyn Ovner (178-93, college: Bridgeport) added 18 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Wetterbygden's coach Krumesh Patel tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sodertalje's next round opponent will be Lulea Basket on the road. Wetterbygden will play against Helsingborg and hope to win that game.
