Regular Season Round 7: Fujitsu RW - Haneda Vickies 85-66

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies (0-8) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to third ranked Fujitsu RW (6-2) 85-66 on Sunday evening. Fujitsu RW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for international power forward Monica Okoye (182-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points. The former international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Monique Aymelek (174-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Ogasawara Mina (177-97) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Fujitsu RW. They moved-up to second place in East, which they share with Hitachi Cougars. Haneda Vickies lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Fujitsu RW will face Hitachi Cougars (#3) in Hitachinaka in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
