Bottom-ranked Hebei is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Blue Whales (4-1) 103-73 on Tuesday evening. Blue Whales dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Hebei's 38. They outrebounded Hebei 50-22 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Blue Whales looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Hebei's players. The former international Song Song (188-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Zhuoya Fang (166-0) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. International Zixuan Guo (187-97) came up with 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and forward JinTing Chen (183-94) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Hebei in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Blue Whales. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Beijing and Shanghai. Hebei lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Blue Whales will meet at home league's second-placed Inner M. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hebei will play against Wuhan (#17) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
