LNBP top team - Aaguacateros (12-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Panteras (4-10) in Michoacan 98-87. Aaguacateros had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Aaguacateros brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Argentinian forward Facundo Pinero (202-88) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) produced 22 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Jacobi Boykins (198-95, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Five Aaguacateros and four Panteras players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aaguacateros maintains first position with 12-2 record. Panteras at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Aaguacateros' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Soles in Mexicali and it will be for sure the game of the week. Panteras will play at home against Abejas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
