No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Fuerza Regia (6-6) crushed bottom-ranked Correcaminos (0-12) in Ciudad Victoria 100-71 on Wednesday. Fuerza Regia forced 20 Correcaminos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Argentinian guard Nicolas Romano (200-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard David Jackson (190-82, college: Penn St.) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Panamanian forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: Southern Miss) replied with 20 points and Dominican forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Fuerza Regia have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-6 record. Loser Correcaminos still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Fuerza Regia will face league's second-placed Lenadores in Durango in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Correcaminos will play on the road against the league's leader Mineros (#1) in Zacatecas and hope to get finally their first victory.
