There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Poznan (1-2) edged on the road higher ranked Nysa (1-2) 81-79 on Thursday. Poznan looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Szymon Sobiech (196-2) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Bartosz Ziolek (188-1) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Poznan players scored in double figures. Poznan's coach Bartosz Sikorski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Rafal Malitka (205-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Jan Fedorski (192-98) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Poznan left bottom position moving up to seventh place in Group D, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Nysa. Poznan will face Koscian (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
