Kouvot used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kaarina 85-79. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-15 Ura Basket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 85-79 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Jacoby Armstrong (201-95, college: UNH) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import forward Antonio Ballard (194-88, college: Miami, OH) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kouvot's next round opponent will be Seagulls in Helsinki and it may be the game of the week. Ura Basket will play on the road against Pyrinto in Tampere and hope to win that game.
