Regular Season Round 6: Hebei - Wuhan 76-70

Hebei has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Wuhan (0-6) 76-70 on Friday. Hebei dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Wuhan's 28. Hebei forced 22 Wuhan turnovers. Strangely Wuhan outrebounded Hebei 40-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. International Zixuan Guo (187-97) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Yaqi Zhang (177-94) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Mengyun Zhou (185-99) with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Xiu Li (178-94) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Wuhan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hebei (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place. It was Wuhan's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Hebei are looking forward to face higher ranked Swordfish (#3) in Shanghai in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Wuhan will play against the league's second-placed Inner M. (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
