Chorale de Roanne's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Cholet Basket (1-4) 96-88. Chorale de Roanne forced 21 Cholet Basket turnovers. Point guard Sylvain Francisco (180-97) stepped up and scored 27 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Senegalese center Boubacar Toure (213-95, college: EMU) chipped in 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Chorale de Roanne's coach Jean-Denys Choulet allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kyvon Davenport (203-97, college: Memphis) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Gravelines. It was Cholet Basket's third loss in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Chalon. Chorale de Roanne will play against Chalon/Saor (#16) on the road in the next round. Cholet Basket will play against Monaco to get more than just one victory in their record.
