Regular Season Round 4: Stal Ostrow 2 - Miedzychod 74-107

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Stal Ostrow 2 (0-4) was crushed at home by top-ranked Miedzychod (2-0) 107-74 on Saturday. Miedzychod made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Stal Ostrow 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) who added 25 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Miedzychod players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Kamil Nawrot (198-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and guard Wiktor Strzelczyk (178-1) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Stal Ostrow 2's coach Kasper Smektala gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Miedzychod moved-up to fourth place in Group D. Loser Stal Ostrow 2 still closes the standings with four games lost. Miedzychod will face league's leader Rycerze in Rydzyna in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Stal Ostrow 2 will play on the road against Tarnovia (#7) in Tarnowo Podgorne and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
