Regular Season Round 3: Alvik Basket - Visby 88-64

Alvik Basket (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed Visby Ladies (0-3) in Stockholm 88-64. The game was mostly controlled by Alvik Basket. Visby Ladies managed to win third quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alvik Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Visby Ladies' 36. Alvik Basket forced 26 Visby Ladies turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Visby Ladies' players. The best player for the winners was international guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 assists and 6 steals. The former international forward Paula Juhlin (184-91) chipped in 20 points. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Jessica Kelliher (183-97, college: Lewis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Jayde Christopher (173-97, college: Boise St.) added 9 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alvik Basket will meet Hogsbo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Visby Ladies will play against A3 Basket (#8) and hope to get finally their first victory.
