Very important is a road loss of second ranked Borik Puntamika (4-2) against eighth ranked KK Zabok (3-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Borik Puntamika was defeated by KK Zabok in Zabok 88-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Borik Puntamika. They outrebounded Borik Puntamika 39-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. KK Zabok players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Borik Puntamika was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Damir Markota (209-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. KK Zabok's coach Ivan Tomas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Lovre Runjic (193-0) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Marin Vrucinic (186-97) added 19 points in the effort for Borik Puntamika. KK Zabok moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Skrljevo. Borik Puntamika at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Split. KK Zabok will play against H.Analitica (#11) in Zagreb in the next round where they are favorite. Borik Puntamika's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zadar Zadar.
